Η Πόλη και το Άτομο

Αν παραφράσω λίγο τα λόγια του Σαίξπηρ από τον Άμλετ, τότε θα πω ότι η πόλη δεν είναι για τους πολλούς, ούτε είναι για τους λίγους, αλλά για τον καθένα χωριστά. Αυτή την ξεχωριστή σχέση της πόλης με το άτομο προσπαθώ να ανιχνεύσω με τις φωτογραφίες. Μια σχέση άλλοτε αρμονική, άλλοτε συγκρουσιακή και κάποιες φορές καταδυναστευτική, με τους ρόλους του θύτη και του θύματος να εναλλάσσονται. Άλλωστε το άτομο αποτελεί συστατικό στοιχείο της πόλης, δίχως το άτομο η πόλη δεν είναι πόλη.

Although slightly paraphrase the words of Shakespeare from Hamlet, then I say that the city is not for the many, nor is it for the few, but for everyone separately. This special relationship of the city with the person trying to crawl with the photos. A relationship sometimes harmonious, sometimes confrontational, sometimes oppressive, with the roles of perpetrator and victim be interchanged. Besides the individual is a constitutive element of the city, without the person the town is no town.
